Hoodia - The Ugly Cactus
Looking Plant That Could Give
You The Body You Want
Hoodia is a succulent plant found deep in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. The San Bushmen have depended on Hoodia for hundreds of years to ensure they do not go hungry during their day-long hunting trips.
It is only when a Western Researcher discovered their secret since the turn of the last century that the demand for this quite ugly, cactus-looking plant sky-rocketed. In fact this plant has had such an effect, that it has featured in news stories on CNN and CBS News. It has even be reported on 60 Minutes and Oprah's "O" Magazine. To read information about how these stories - especially the one's in Oprah's magazine and on 60 minutes have really made it confusing for consumers of Hoodia, read our article on "Hoodia on Oprah and 60 Minutes"
After millions of research was invested into discovering why this plant worked so well in making your body feel full, it was finally discovered that it was only one molecule that made all the difference. This molecule was called the P57 molecule.
Hoodia with the P57 molecule activated has been shown to make you feel full for up to 24 hours, killing off any desire to eat. If you like to eat because that full feeling makes you comfortable, then Hoodia will allow you to enjoy that feeling without the calories.
On the other hand, if you take in Hoodia with the P57 molecule either missing or inactive, then it will not have an effect. You will not get that full feeling that you would if you had the pure Hoodia with the P57 molecule activated.
If you are unsure about whether Hoodia really does work or not - you should read our article "Does Hoodia Work?". This will clarify for you what and whom you can trust, and who you cannot.
This is a really important point, considering the sheer number of sellers of Hoodia on the internet. It is impossible for all of these sellers to be legitimate, purely because the supply is limited. There is no doubt that some of these sellers are selling ineffective Hoodia that is missing the P57 molecule. To determine how you can buy the real Hoodia safely, read our article on "Buying Hoodia". The main thing is that you don't want to buy the cheapest Hoodia available. If you do you might be bitterly disappointed because there are just so many opportunists out there, selling watered down Hoodia. This just will not work to help you weight loss. You want to try and avoid these sellers at all costs.
If you are worried if Hoodia is safe - and that is a legitimate concern - then you should read our article on "Is Hoodia Safe?". Because this is such an issue for a lot of people, there's another article, put slightly differently that tackles the same issue. This article is all about Hoodia's side effects. You might be interested in knowing more, please read "How You Can Avoid Potential Side Effects From Using Hoodia."
Another point you should really be informed about is how Hoodia will react in your body over the medium or long term. If you study how your body works, you'll know that Hoodia will lower your metabolism. Read that article to find out how to reverse this effect, so you have both short term and long term weight loss from using Hoodia.
