Some Simple Salad Recipes That
Are Easy For You To Whip Up
If you want to whip up some salads that contains healthy amounts of carbs, fats and proteins, you are on the right page. 6. Vegetable Salad
1 Bunch of lettuce (finely cut into bite sized pieces) |
3 Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil |
2 Zucchini's unpeeled and sliced thin |
1 Cup of cherry tomatoes, halved |
4 Green onions sliced |
1/2 Teaspoon of alt |
1 Small clove of garlic |
1 Dash of pepper. |
Crush clover of garlic with salt. Bring lettuce and oil together in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the remaining ingredients and serve. |
7. Healthy Tuna Wrap
2 Large leaves of iceberg lettuce |
4 Ounces of tuna in spring water, drained |
1/2 Cup of red cabbage, shredded |
1/4 Cup of zucchini , shredded |
1/4 Cup of alfalfa sprouts |
1 Tablespoon of non fat mayonnaise |
1 Dash of pepper |
2 Red or green pepper rings |
Combine tuna, cabbage, zucchini and sprouts. Add pepper and mayonnaise and stir. Carefully put a heaped tablespoon of this mixture in the middle of each of the lettuce leaves. Role up lettuce leaves to create a wrap with the tuna inside Place a bell pepper ring over each of the lettuce rings to hold it in place. Serve as is or chilled for later. |
8. Chicken Salad
6 Ounces of chicken, chopped into bite sized pieces |
1/2 A diced tomato, chopped into bite sized pieces |
1/2 Bell pepper, diced into bit sized pieces |
1/2 Cup of non-fat mayonnaise |
1 Baked potato, cooled and diced into bite sized pieces |

Mix all the ingredients together. Enjoy! |
9. Tuna and Bean Salad
20 Ounces of cannelli beans, drained |
10 Ounces of tuna, drained and flaked ( you can use, chicken, lamb or any other lean meats here) |
2 Cups of broccoli tops, chopped |
1/4 Cup of carrot, shredded |
Your choice of healthy or low fat/non-fat dressing |
4 Large lettuce leaves |
Combine and toss thoroughly Canneli beans, tuna (or alternative), broccoli, carrot and your choice of dressing. Lay out lettuce leaves on a place. Put mix into lettuce leaves and wrap to close. |
10. A Broccoli Mix
3 Cups of broccoli tops |
1 Tablespoon of butter |
4 Tablespoon of lemon juice |
1 Tablespoon of Dijon mustard |
1/2 Teaspoon of dried marjoram |
Steam broccoli for 3-4 minutes so it's still crisp and slightly cooked. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Blend lemon juice, mustard and marjoram and simmer 1 minute. Serve over broccoli. |
