Some Simple Salad Recipes That
Are Easy For You To Whip Up

If you want to whip up some salads that contains healthy amounts of carbs, fats and proteins, you are on the right page. Forget about low carb diets and low fat diets, get some good healthy, balanced recipes right here. Here are they are:

1. Simple and Healthy Salad

Half a bunch of lettuce (iceberg, cos e.t.c.) chopped into bite sized pieces

1 Carrot cut into thin strips

2 Tomato chopped

1/2 Cucumber sliced

1 Avocado

Put all ingredients together and toss carefully together. Add any of your favorite low/non-fat dressings. Enjoy!

2. Tuna Salad with Garlic Dressing

3 ounces of home-made garlic dressing (see dressing & sauces section)

Half a bunch of lettuce (iceberg, cos e.t.c.) chopped into bite sized pieces

1 Cucumber chopped into square pieces

1 Can of water packed tuna, drained

1 Tomato chopped

1 handful of garlic seeds

1 handful of pine nuts

In a large bowl, combine lettuce, cucumber, tuna and tomatoes. Add home-made garlic dressing and toss thoroughly. Add garlic seeds and pine-nuts. Enjoy!

3. Fruit salad

1 Cup non fat plain yoghurt

3 Tablespoons of whey protein

1 Apple diced (and cored)

1/2 Cup of seedless grapes

1/4 Cups of raisins

1/2 orange, peeled and chopped

1/2 banana, peeled and sliced

Blend yoghurt and protein powder together and thoroughly mix to create fruit salad topping. Combine all fruits and bring to mix. Pour the topping all over the fruits. Enjoy!

4. Simple Tuna Salad

4 Ounces of tuna (in spring water) drained

2 Tablespoons of Non-fat mayonnaise

1/4 cup of raisins

1/2 Apple, diced (and cored)

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and serve with whole meal bread or rice cakes. Enjoy!

5. A Perfect Protein Carb Salad

8 ounces of Lean meat (preferably tuna in spring water drained, or chicken)

1 Sourdough bread/whole-wheat bread toasted and crushed

1 Seeded, pealed and chopped orange

1 Diced tomato

1 Apple diced and cored

2 Tablespoon of vinegar

2 Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

1/2 An avocado chopped into little pieces

1 Clove of crushed garlic

1 Teaspoon of salt

Crush garlic and salt. Add extra virgin olive oil. Mix the rest of the ingredients. Add salt, garlic and olive mix. Enjoy!
