Your cheat meal is that part of your diet where you are allowed to eat whatever you want. Providing your body with a surge of calories one meal out of the week (or thereabouts) will make sure that your body never thinks it is starving.

Remember, starvation mode is not what we want our bodies to go into, otherwise our metabolism will slow down and we will put on fat much more quickly and easily. Think of your cheat day as the safety day that ensures that your body will not go into starvation mode and that it won't think that it is starving. This is besides the psychological benefits of having the cheat meal, so you avoid the yo-yo dieter syndrome that hits many crash dieters.

There is only one rule to follow on your cheat meal.

There are no real rules to follow on your cheat meal, which is the point of it.

Although there are no eating rules, there is one rule you must absolutely follow otherwise there is absolutely no point in doing the cheat meal.

You must enjoy yourself.

If you don't , then its better just to have a few naughty foods and get back on your diet. Just please make sure this is one meal you are going to enjoy and you'll feel a new commitment to your weight loss plan.
